I came to the single evening workshop not entirely sure what to expect. The worksheets were more interesting than I anticipated — they made me realise I had been avoiding certain conversations with my husband by not having a structure for them. We have since used the prompt deck at home a few times. Worth every ringgit.

My wife and I did the six-week programme together. The first two sessions felt slightly slow to me, but by week three the exercises were genuinely useful. We came away with a clearer shared vocabulary for talking about big decisions. The facilitator was careful never to push us in any direction, which I appreciated.

I'm now in my second year of the annual track. The monthly sessions have become something I genuinely look forward to — a regular hour and a half that is entirely mine to think, without interruption. The rotating topics keep it fresh. I noticed this year I approach big decisions with noticeably less anxiety.

I attended alone, not as part of a couple. The evening workshop was welcoming regardless — the exercises worked just as well for thinking through individual decisions. I liked that there was no assumption that everyone was there with a partner.

Good location, easy to park. The content was relevant and practical without being heavy-handed. My only note would be that the companion booklet for the six-week programme could have slightly more writing space on some pages. But overall a thoughtful programme — I would do the annual track next.

The annual track has given me a different relationship with how I approach household decisions. The quarterly journalling sessions in particular are something I now plan my year around. It is not therapy, it is not a class — it is something quieter and more useful than either for my particular situation.

How participants
describe their journeys
Case Study · Single Evening Workshop
The Starting Point
A couple in Penang found that conversations about a potential property purchase kept breaking down. Neither partner could explain clearly what they were actually weighing up, and each assumed the other was being unreasonable.
What They Did
They attended the single evening workshop together. The core exercise — a decision-mapping worksheet that separates values from practicalities — gave them a shared page to work from rather than talking in circles.
Three Months Later
They came to a clear and considered decision using the prompt deck at home. What changed was not the decision itself but the quality of the conversation that led to it. They joined the six-week programme the following intake.
"The worksheet gave us something to look at together instead of looking at each other. That sounds small, but it changed everything."

Case Study · Six-Week Programme
The Starting Point
An individual in her early forties described a pattern of putting off financial decisions until they became urgent — then making them quickly and regretting the haste. She had no framework for thinking through decisions in advance.
What She Did
She completed the six-week Decision Literacy Programme. Across the programme, she practised three distinct decision-mapping methods, each suited to different types of questions. She also found the peer reflection sessions more useful than she expected.
After Six Weeks
She reported approaching a pending household decision with noticeably less avoidance. She had a worksheet for it. She has enrolled in the annual track for the following year to continue building the habit.
"I still avoid some things. But now I have tools I can sit down with when I finally feel ready, and they work."

Case Study · Annual Reflection Track
The Starting Point
A couple approaching retirement had good information about their situation but found that conversations about how to transition financially always stalled within a few minutes. They struggled to stay in the same conversation.
What They Did
They enrolled in the Annual Decision Reflection Track. The monthly rhythm gave them a consistent space to return to. The seasonal topic rotation meant that different facets of household decision-making came up across the year at a natural pace.
After Twelve Months
By the end of the year they described feeling, for the first time, that they had a shared language for a topic they had previously treated as too uncomfortable to discuss calmly. They renewed for a second year.
"We had the information we needed. We just couldn't talk about it properly. The annual track gave us twelve months of practice at doing exactly that."
